KENYA 🇰🇪 EXPORTS TONNES OF ROSES.

Kenya has once again reaffirmed its dominance in the global flower industry, with its 2024 Valentine’s Day exports reaching an astounding 4,200 tonnes of roses to Europe. This trade has not only solidified Kenya’s position as a major player in the floral market but has also contributed significantly to its economy, generating a remarkable $300 million in revenue.

Kenyan roses are highly sought after for their quality, vibrant colors, and longevity, making them a staple in floral arrangements across Europe. The nation’s floral industry plays a crucial role in employment, providing jobs to thousands of people, particularly women, who work in flower farms. As the largest exporter of cut roses to the European Union, Kenya continues to supply over 40% of the European flower market, maintaining its reputation as the heart of the floral trade.
