A landmark ceremony in Casablanca celebrates leadership, diplomacy, and a bold African future
Casablanca, Morocco – July 2025
Under the towering white arches of a grand marquee set up on the grounds of ENCG Casablanca, a historic gathering unfolded — one that transcended the academic pageantry of a traditional graduation. Elegant, vibrant, and charged with continental pride, the space hosted the 2025 edition of the New Africa Hall of Fame, organized by The New Africa Magazine, the International Center for Diplomacy, and ENCG Casablanca.
Themed “Our Strength: Knowledge, Our Pride: Dedication,” the event honored eleven exceptional Moroccan figures whose leadership continues to shape Africa’s evolving narrative — across justice, diplomacy, governance, education, and science.

Eleven Names. One Continent. Shared Legacy.
As each name was called, the applause rising beneath the vaulted tent felt deeply earned. These were not just public servants; they were builders of institutions and voices of principle.
Dr. Naïma Ben Yahya – Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and the Family, Kingdom of Morocco
Mr. Hicham Sabiry – Secretary of State to the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, in charge of Employment
Dr. Hicham El Blaoui – Attorney General of the King at the Court of Cassation, President of the Public Ministry, Member of the High Council of the Judiciary, and Secretary General of the Association of African Prosecutors
Dr. Moulay Ismaïl Alaoui – Former Minister of National Education and Former President of the National Commission for Dialogue on Civil Society and Constitutional Prerogatives

Dr. Fathallah Oualalou – Economist, former Minister of Economy and Finance, and honorary patron of the 2025 graduating class
Professor Smail Kabbaj – Interim Director of ENCG Casablanca
Professor Mustapha El Khayat – President of AMLOG and international expert in logistics, trade, and transport policy
Professor Najib Ibn Abdeljalil – Renowned academic and contributor to higher education excellence in Morocco and Africa
Beyond Recognition: A Continental Partnership is Born
The evening was more than ceremonial. It marked the birth of a strategic alliance uniting:
- The New Africa Magazine
- The International Center for Diplomacy
- ENCG Casablanca
- The Dialogue Forum of African Magistrates
- OSPDH – The Observatory for Monitoring Human Rights Policies
The partnership is set to foster collaboration in diplomacy, legal cooperation, human rights education, youth leadership, and African civic dialogue. Its aim: build a generation of ethical African leaders equipped for a complex, rapidly changing world.
“This is a moment of direction, not just celebration,” one speaker said. “Africa must invest in institutions — and this is what we’re doing here.”
ENCG Casablanca: A Hub of Values and Vision
By co-organizing this continental initiative, ENCG Casablanca has further anchored its identity as more than a management school. It has positioned itself as a platform for African excellence, where public service, knowledge, and continental leadership intersect.
As graduates took their final walk across the stage beneath the marquee, they carried with them more than diplomas. They left with the echoes of legacy and the responsibility to write Africa’s next chapter.
A celebration of legacy. A call to purpose. A future anchored in unity.
