Nigeria Records Historic Win at Miss Continental 2026
Nigeria has secured another historic triumph on the international pageantry stage as Oma Osele emerged winner of Miss Continental World 2026.

Osele clinched the crown at the grand finale held in Ayutthaya, Thailand, overcoming contestants from across the globe to secure the top title.
India’s Shreeya Panda emerged as 1st Runner-Up.
The Nigerian queen completed a clean sweep, having already picked up two major special prizes ahead of the final night: Queen of Africa for the highest-placed African delegate and Best National Costume for the most impressive cultural outfit.

Osele, a 28-year-old medical laboratory scientist, entrepreneur and model from Lagos, represented Nigeria after winning EliteGlam Pageant Nigeria 2025.
Her journey to the crown gained strong momentum in September, when she won the World Premiere Award after topping the worldwide fan vote on Eventista’s 1Vote platform, finishing ahead of India’s Monica Konjengbam and Thailand’s Pornpaya Rianju.
The prize included a media package featuring an official social media promotion and an AP News press release.
The victory marked a double celebration for Nigeria, as her male counterpart, Unwana Sambo Essien, also finished as 3rd Runner-Up at the Mister Continental World 2026 finals held the same night, claiming the King of Kings title and the Best National Attire award in the male category.
Osele’s success further strengthens Nigeria’s impressive record in international pageantry, following recent achievements including Chidimma Adetshina’s 1st Runner-Up finish at Miss Universe 2024.
She is expected to return to Nigeria in the coming days.
